Living with illness can be challenging, but I have my own little winged remedy for sadness and tough days. My garden is not just a place full of greenery – it’s a true kingdom of birds that have been brightening my life for years. They are my little friends who bring me comfort and joy, even in the hardest moments.
I’m visited by a variety of feathered guests: sparrows, great tits, blue tits, and even a kingfisher, whose vibrant colors always leave me in awe. The dunnock, wren, blackbird, starlings, sparrowhawk, chaffinches, pigeons, and sometimes even the delicate long-tailed tits – each of them brings something special to my garden. Recently, I had the pleasure of hosting a grey wagtail, whose energetic personality lit up even the gloomiest day.
I eagerly await new visitors, but my regulars are always welcome. They keep me company during difficult times, and their presence, along with their beauty, which I capture in photos, gives me strength. Seeing my love for nature, my sons dug a small pond for me, where goldfish now swim. Observing this little ecosystem brings me endless joy. For many years, my garden and its inhabitants were my only window to the world.
That was until Lucas and Natalia started taking me on photographic adventures. Thanks to them, I’ve discovered new places, new inspirations, and new stories to tell. Together, we’ve created the OhVibe Creative Collective, a project where we showcase our works at exhibitions, sharing our passion for photography and nature with the world. You can follow these shared adventures on this site, where I document my journey.
My garden is more than just a place – it’s my therapy, my inspiration, and my sanctuary. And the birds? They are my most loyal friends, reminding me every day how beautiful life can be, even when it feels tough.
I invite you to follow my adventure with nature and photography. Who knows, maybe you’ll find your own little feathered friends among the birds?
